Independent Review into Mental Health Conditions, ADHD and Autism – Interim Report
The UK Department of Health and Social Care published an interim report examining trends in ADHD, autism and broader mental health conditions. The report highlights limitations in structured electronic health record data, noting that under‑recording and incomplete coding can miss clinically relevant detail. Drawing on analysis using Akrivia Health data, the report underscores the importance of incorporating insights from free‑text clinical notes, particularly for identifying complex and co‑occurring conditions and better understanding real‑world care pathways.
